UPCOMING EVENTS
Join me for a relaxed, hands-on herbal workshop and discover the traditional art of making Fire Cider — a warming seasonal preparation made with organic apple cider vinegar, herbs, roots and spices.
Whether you are completely new to herbal medicine or simply curious about traditional herbal preparations, this friendly workshop will guide you through the process step by step.
Fire Cider is made by infusing apple cider vinegar with a variety of warming ingredients such as garlic, ginger, turmeric, rosemary, thyme, onions, citrus and chilli. These ingredients have traditionally been valued for their warming qualities and their role in supporting seasonal wellbeing, digestion and circulation.
One of the wonderful things about Fire Cider is that there is no single recipe. It can be adapted using different herbs, spices and ingredients, allowing you to create a blend that suits your own taste and preferences.
Join me, Karen Williamson Dip.Herb.Med., MNIMH, Medical Herbalist, for an enjoyable morning exploring the herbs, spices and traditional principles behind this popular seasonal preparation.
🌿 During the workshop you will discover:
✨ The history and traditional origins of Fire Cider.
✨ The herbs, roots and spices commonly used and why they have been valued for generations.
✨ How to personalise your own Fire Cider recipe to suit your taste.
✨ How to infuse, strain, store and enjoy your Fire Cider at home.
✨ How to create your own jar of Fire Cider to take home.
🎁 Your workshop ticket includes:
✔ All ingredients needed to make your own Fire Cider.
✔ A glass jar to take home.
✔ Recipe and guidance notes so you can continue making Fire Cider at home.
Please bring:
• An apron.
• A chopping board.
• A knife you feel comfortable using to prepare ingredients such as onions and herbs.
Please note: Fire Cider may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those who experience acid reflux or have inflammatory bowel conditions (IBD). If you are unsure whether Fire Cider is suitable for you, please contact me before booking.
